Taiwan-ASEAN Trade Statistics January 2026

Disclaimer: Following Timor-Leste’s officially accession as the 11th member state of ASEAN in October 2025, the TASC will include Timor-Leste’s trade data in the “Taiwan-ASEAN Trade Statistics” starting from January 2026.


In January 2026, the total trade volume between Taiwan and ASEAN countries were 19.307 billion US dollars. The total exports from Taiwan to ASEAN were 13.402 billion US dollars, while the total imports from ASEAN to Taiwan were 5.905 billion US dollars. In comparison to January 2025, total trade volume between Taiwan and ASEAN countries has increased by 64.29%, while Taiwan’s export to ASEAN countries experienced a 61.76% increase, and Taiwan’s import from ASEAN countries increased by 70.32%. Singapore ranks the highest amongst ASEAN countries with a total trade volume of 7.239 billion US dollars (Taiwan’s export to Singapore were 5.892 billion US dollars while Taiwan’s import from Singapore were 1.347 billion US dollars). Malaysia is the second highest with a total trade volume of 4.092 billion US dollars (Taiwan’s export to Malaysia were 2.707 billion US dollars while Taiwan’s import from Malaysia were 1.385 billion US dollars). The export and import details of each ASEAN country are presented as the following table and chart.
