In January 2024, the total trade volume between Taiwan and ASEAN countries were 10.778 billion US dollars. The total exports from Taiwan to ASEAN were 6.813 billion US dollars, while the total imports from ASEAN to Taiwan were 3.965 billion US dollars. In comparison to January 2023, total trade volume between Taiwan and ASEAN countries has increased by 25.33%, while Taiwan’s export to ASEAN countries experienced a 36.61% increase and Taiwan’s import from ASEAN countries increased by 9.76%. Singapore ranks the highest amongst ASEAN countries with a total trade volume of 3.128 billion US dollars (Taiwan’s export to Singapore were 2.340 billion US dollars while Taiwan’s import from Singapore were 0.789 billion US dollars). Malaysia is the second highest with a total trade volume of 2.418 billion US dollars (Taiwan’s export to Malaysia were 1.405 billion US dollars while Taiwan’s import from Malaysia were 1.013 billion US dollars).
