In September 2021, the total trade volume between Taiwan and ASEAN countries were 9.952 billion US dollars. The total exports from Taiwan to ASEAN were 5.672 billion US dollars, while the total imports from ASEAN to Taiwan were 4.280 billion US dollars. In comparison to September 2020, total trade volume between Taiwan and ASEAN countries has increased by 33.93%, while Taiwan’s export to ASEAN countries experienced a 23.68% increase and Taiwan’s import from ASEAN countries increased by 50.43%. Singapore ranks the highest amongst ASEAN countries with a total trade volume of 3.289 billion US dollars (Taiwan’s export to Singapore were 2.216 billion US dollars while Taiwan’s import from Singapore were1.073 billion US dollars). Malaysia is the second highest with a total trade volume of 2.255 billion US dollars (Taiwan’s export to Malaysia were 1.072 billion US dollars while Taiwan’s import from Malaysia were 1.183 billion US dollars).
