In February 2022, the total trade volume between Taiwan and ASEAN countries were 10.4 billion US dollars. The total exports from Taiwan to ASEAN were 6.66 billion US dollars, while the total imports from ASEAN to Taiwan were 4.039 billion US dollars. In comparison to February 2021, total trade volume between Taiwan and ASEAN countries has increased by 37.56%, while Taiwan’s export to ASEAN countries experienced a 34.63% increase and Taiwan’s import from ASEAN countries increased by 42.42%. Singapore ranks the highest amongst ASEAN countries with a total trade volume of 3.476 billion US dollars (Taiwan’s export to Singapore were 2.527 billion US dollars while Taiwan’s import from Singapore were 0.949 billion US dollars). Malaysia is the second highest with a total trade volume of 2.115 billion US dollars (Taiwan’s export to Malaysia were 1.112 billion US dollars while Taiwan’s import from Malaysia were 1.003 billion US dollars).
