In December 2023, the total trade volume between Taiwan and ASEAN countries were 10.138 billion US dollars. The total exports from Taiwan to ASEAN were 6.971 billion US dollars, while the total imports from ASEAN to Taiwan were 3.167 billion US dollars. In comparison to December 2022, total trade volume between Taiwan and ASEAN countries has increased by 10.04%, while Taiwan’s export to ASEAN countries experienced a 21.70% increase and Taiwan’s import from ASEAN countries decreased by 9.12%. Singapore ranks the highest amongst ASEAN countries with a total trade volume of 3.298 billion US dollars (Taiwan’s export to Singapore were 2.649 billion US dollars while Taiwan’s import from Singapore were 0.649 billion US dollars). Malaysia is the second highest with a total trade volume of 2.506 billion US dollars (Taiwan’s export to Malaysia were 1.742 billion US dollars while Taiwan’s import from Malaysia were 0.764 billion US dollars).
