In April 2022, the total trade volume between Taiwan and ASEAN countries were 11.584 billion US dollars. The total exports from Taiwan to ASEAN were 6.841 billion US dollars, while the total imports from ASEAN to Taiwan were 4.743 billion US dollars. In comparison to April 2021, total trade volume between Taiwan and ASEAN countries has increased by 24.85%, while Taiwan’s export to ASEAN countries experienced a 18.5% increase and Taiwan’s import from ASEAN countries increased by 35.33%. Singapore ranks the highest amongst ASEAN countries with a total trade volume of 3.648 billion US dollars (Taiwan’s export to Singapore were 2.54 billion US dollars while Taiwan’s import from Singapore were 1.108 billion US dollars). Malaysia is the second highest with a total trade volume of 2.573 billion US dollars (Taiwan’s export to Malaysia were 1.356 billion US dollars while Taiwan’s import from Malaysia were 1.217 billion US dollars).
