In December 2021, the total trade volume between Taiwan and ASEAN countries were 10.439 billion US dollars. The total exports from Taiwan to ASEAN were 6.424 billion US dollars, while the total imports from ASEAN to Taiwan were 4.015 billion US dollars. In comparison to December 2020, total trade volume between Taiwan and ASEAN countries has increased by 24%, while Taiwan’s export to ASEAN countries experienced a 23.79% increase and Taiwan’s import from ASEAN countries increased by 24.45%. Singapore ranks the highest amongst ASEAN countries with a total trade volume of 3.241 billion US dollars (Taiwan’s export to Singapore were 2.223 billion US dollars while Taiwan’s import from Singapore were 1.018 billion US dollars). Malaysia is the second highest with a total trade volume of 2.247 billion US dollars (Taiwan’s export to Malaysia were 1.152 billion US dollars while Taiwan’s import from Malaysia were 1.095 billion US dollars).
