In August 2022, the total trade volume between Taiwan and ASEAN countries were 11.745 billion US dollars. The total exports from Taiwan to ASEAN were 7.149 billion US dollars, while the total imports from ASEAN to Taiwan were 4.596 billion US dollars. In comparison to August 2021, total trade volume between Taiwan and ASEAN countries has increased by 11.54%, while Taiwan’s export to ASEAN countries experienced a 17.61% increase and Taiwan’s import from ASEAN countries increased by 3.23%. Singapore ranks the highest amongst ASEAN countries with a total trade volume of 3.518 billion US dollars (Taiwan’s export to Singapore were 2.526 billion US dollars while Taiwan’s import from Singapore were 0.992 billion US dollars). Malaysia is the second highest with a total trade volume of 2.751 billion US dollars (Taiwan’s export to Malaysia were 1.733 billion US dollars while Taiwan’s import from Malaysia were 1.018 billion US dollars).
